    1. Prep Potatoes and Butter-Cream Mix

    Add potatoes to a large pot containing water over medium heat. Add two tablespoons of salt and a bay leaf to it. Cover with cold water and bring the water in the pot to a boil. Cook the potatoes over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Discard the leaf and drain the water.
