FRIENDS has always been my favorite TV show. I saw Rachel and Phoebe talking about unagi and salmon skin roll in one of the episodes and that made me interested in this dish. Also, the episode is extremely hilarious.
Most people are great fans of sushi these days. But salmon skin is crazy cheap, so it’s worth making it at home. All you need to purchase the salmon with the skin at a local fishmonger. The layer of fat attached to the skin gradually melts during cooking and makes it crispy.
To make a salmon skin roll, cook rice. Mix the rice with vinegar, sesame seeds, and sugar. Heat oil in a skillet and cook salmon skin in it. In a saucepan, add tamari, brown sugar, and mirin and stir until it thickens. Make a thin layer of the rice and place nori on it. Lay the salmon skins, cucumber, avocado, and cress on its edge. Roll it and cut the rolls. Drizzle the sauce over it.
This is just a snippet of the recipe. There are other main course recipes on our blog as well that you should also check.

- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 tablespoon Tamari
- 2 tablespoons Mirin
- 1 bunch Watercress
- 2 Cucumber
- 1 Avocado (sliced)
- 4-6 sheets Nori
