Mexican food is always a delight to cook at home. Today I have a a Mexican recipe loaded with flavor for you. The recipe is for beef and bean torta. You are going to love this recipe.

To make beef and bean torta, cook the beef and onions in a skillet. Add beans, tomatoes, olives, chili powder, salt, pepper, and hot pepper sauce.

Make strips of foil and place them at the bottom of the slow cooker. Spoon out a few cups and add them to the slow cooker. Top them with tortilla and cheese.

Traditionally, dish related tortillas are a budget friendly meal. Because the beef is slow cooked, you can use cheaper and tougher cuts of beef so it’s much kinder on your wallet!

For best results, use beef stew meat, you can buy it already cut into cubes in some places which cuts down on your prep time. Don’t use expensive cuts of steak in this recipe as they won’t stand up well to the long cook time.

Feel free to add in extra veggies if you like! Mushrooms and bell peppers are both great choices!
