Instructions
- On a large wooden board add the savory items (protein and veggies) first. For this board, I used air fryer bacon, breakfast sausage links, hard-boiled eggs, sliced avocado, cucumbers, and cubed Colby jack cheese.
- Now move on to the breads/pastries. I added mini croissants and mini pancakes but you can add anything from scones to bagels or crepes!
- Then, add in the butters, jams, and spreads. I used raspberry jam, Nutella, and strawberry butter.
- Lastly, fill in the rest of the gaps with fruit and berries. I used strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and bananas. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Cook the bacon crispy- As boards tend to sit for a while, crispy bacon will hold its shape better than less cooked bacon that tends to be mealy.
- Use mini pastries- So that the pastries don’t dominate the breakfast board, use mini versions of everything so that the breads aren’t much bigger than anything else.
- Use easy to grab items- Cheese cubes, individual sausage links, plain pancakes, and berries are all easy to grab items that are not messy, for easy access on this brunch board.
- Assemble in the right order- The bigger stuff – proteins and pastries – should go on first, then the spreads in their small bowls, and then fill in the gaps with fruit. This creates the nicest presentation and even spacing.
